Visual Development & Branding for TV Pilot

The Challenge: Develop a distinctive visual identity for Los Destos, a proposed spin-off and renewed interpretation of Los Peluches, a political satire format built around puppet characters, humor and social commentary.

The challenge was to create a graphic language that felt irreverent, contemporary and recognizable, while being flexible enough to work across the different needs of a television production: on-screen graphics, set applications, promotional materials, presentations and commercial assets.

Context & Scale: As part of my work at TV Azteca, I participated in the visual development of several television pilots before they reached national broadcast. Each project required translating an early creative concept into a tangible visual universe that production, multimedia and commercial teams could evaluate and develop further.

For Los Dstos, the exploration focused on updating the visual language of a puppet-based political comedy format for a new media environment. The concept combined satire, political commentary and entertainment, while exploring different character-production possibilities — from traditional puppetry and latex characters to digital animation, virtual environments and hybrid techniques.

The project included the development of the program identity, visual system, character-style references, concept presentations, commercial materials and assets intended to communicate how the format could translate into an actual television production.

My Role: I worked directly with the production team to translate the initial program concept into a cohesive visual proposal.

My responsibilities included creative and visual development, logo design, art direction, graphic system creation, research and visual references for character and puppet styles, presentation design, production-support graphics and commercial materials.
